Description Bit Kharkivskyi
Bit Kharkivskyi — this is a hazelnut variety developed in Ukraine at the Transnistrian Experimental Station for Horticulture in 1995. The tree has strong growth and forms a large, rounded crown. The fruits are medium-sized, weighing from 10.9 to 13.3 grams, oval and elongated in shape. The kernel is light-colored and easily separates from the shell, facilitating its use. Fruit-bearing begins on the 5th-6th year, and by the 7th-8th year, the yield reaches 9-10.5 kg per tree. The harvest period falls at the end of August to the beginning of September.

This variety has high frost resistance and good disease resistance, allowing it to be grown throughout Ukraine. The fruits have excellent appearance and pleasant taste qualities, making this variety ideal for both personal cultivation and industrial production. Due to its strong immunity, the trees are less susceptible to diseases, which reduces maintenance costs and increases yield stability.

Hazelnuts, to which Bit Kharkivskyi belongs, are widely valued for their beneficial properties and culinary uses. They are used in preparing various dishes, including meat seasonings, confectionery items such as cookies, cakes, and ice cream, as well as in salads, imparting a distinctive flavor. Historically, hazelnuts originate from Asia and have been prized for their nutritional and taste qualities since ancient times.
