Vegetable Pea Premium

Premium Pea Variety: Efficiency and Yield for Commercial Farming

The «Premium» vegetable pea, introduced by «Semko-Junior», is a reliable choice for farmers focusing on early-season production. Developed with inputs from Van Waveren Saaten and seasoned experts, this variety is engineered for consistent results in commercial vegetable cultivation. With a vegetation period of 50-60 days, it allows growers to optimize their harvesting schedules and secure early market access.

Key Agronomic Features

• Productivity per Pod: Each 8-9 cm blunt-shaped pod contains 7-8 medium-sized peas, ensuring a high yield of high-quality, uniform grain.
• Ease of Handling: The structural design of the pods supports efficient harvesting methods, minimizing physical damage to the peas and preserving their marketability during post-harvest handling.
• Crop Uniformity: The variety exhibits synchronized ripening, a critical factor for producers looking to streamline harvesting operations and reduce labor costs.

In practical farm management, «Premium» is favored for its reliability and predictable performance. It thrives in well-drained, fertile soil, provided there is adequate moisture during the flowering and pod-filling stages. By selecting this variety, farmers gain a robust solution for early vegetable rotations, ensuring that the harvested peas meet the standards for both fresh market consumption and commercial processing. It remains a staple for those who prioritize a balanced combination of early harvest timing and consistent physical quality.
