Dinga

The vegetable pea variety Dinga is a medium-maturing, high-yielding variety characterized by sturdy, medium-height plants with climbing vines requiring support. Plant height reaches 90-95 cm, and the vegetation period from emergence to the first harvest is 80-82 days. Pods are long, up to 11 cm, 1.2-1.3 cm wide, containing 9-10 dark green peas. This variety is distinguished by its uniform yield formation, allowing for mechanized harvesting.

Dinga is valued for its high taste and technological qualities. The peas have a pleasant sweetness and juiciness, making them ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for freezing and canning. The variety is resistant to fusarium and other diseases, ensuring stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. Yield reaches 0.7-1.1 kg per square meter.

Dinga prefers a humid and cool climate, grows well at seed germination temperatures of 4-8°C and an optimal growth temperature of about 18°C. The plant is sun-loving and does not require special soil conditions, although acidic soils are unsuitable for its cultivation. Sown early in spring on well-lit areas, it contributes to obtaining a high-quality and abundant yield.
