Description Dukat
Dukat is a high-yield variety of dill with a medium maturation period of 40 to 60 days, depending on growing conditions. The plant features strong growth and branching, producing large, juicy leaves with an intense green color and a bright aroma. Thanks to its powerful root system, dill withstands frost and temperature fluctuations well, is resistant to high temperatures and fungal diseases, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including southern regions. The Dukat variety is drought-resistant and has medium immunity to diseases, ensuring a stable harvest. The optimal sowing time is mid-April or under winter. To obtain green dill, sow continuously at a rate of 20-30 grams per square meter, and for technical produce, sow in rows with 25 cm interrows at a rate of 7-10 grams per square meter. Seeds germinate at temperatures from +3 °C, and young plants withstand frost down to -6 °C. Seedlings appear within 10-20 days, quickly forming a significant mass of greens. Dukat is intended for fresh consumption and freezing, while retaining its commercial qualities for a long time. Dill enhances the taste of dishes and pairs well with other herbs. To obtain seeds used in spices or for oil production, the harvest is collected 110 days after seedling emergence. This dill variety combines high productivity, resilience to adverse conditions, and excellent taste qualities, making it a popular choice among gardeners and farmers.
