Tulip Pink Jewel

Field Reliability: Working with Pink Evel

For a professional flower grower, Pink Evel is primarily about predictability. This late-flowering tulip variety has proven itself as a reliable “workhorse” that requires no complicated maintenance protocols during forcing or open-field cultivation. The tall, sturdy stems hold the flower head firmly: even under intensive irrigation or windy conditions, the stems remain upright, which significantly simplifies harvesting and packaging.

Phytosanitary Control and Resistance

The main asset of this hybrid is its immune shield. In high-humidity conditions, where other varieties often suffer from soil-borne infections, Pink Evel demonstrates enviable resistance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilts. For an agronomist, this translates to reduced costs for fungicide applications and minimized product waste during grading.

Technological Insights

• Planting and Care: The variety responds well to standard fertilization protocols. It maintains high planting density without compromising flower quality.
• Harvesting: Due to its height and robust stem, Pink Evel is ideal for automated harvesting lines.
• Post-Harvest: It shows excellent shelf life, with the flower head retaining its shape even during medium-distance transport.

The delicate pink hue of Pink Evel petals is a timeless classic, while its biological resilience allows you to focus on production volume rather than managing disease outbreaks.
