Tulip Rubato

Professional choice: Why Rubato dominates commercial production

Rubato, a prominent Darwin Hybrid tulip, is engineered for efficiency and durability. For commercial growers, this variety represents a balance between high-quality output and low maintenance, thanks to its robust resistance profile.

Built-in pathogen resistance

The primary advantage of Rubato is its genetic resilience to soil-borne and viral threats. This significantly lowers the dependency on intensive fungicide programs and protects the bottom line against common crop failures:

• Fusarium and Fusarium wilt: This cultivar maintains healthy root systems, even in high-density planting environments.
• Verticillium and Verticillium wilt: The variety thrives even in challenging soil conditions where others might fail.
• Tobacco Mosaic Virus and Cladosporium: Built-in tolerance reduces the risk of these infections spreading through handling or environmental exposure.
• Brown spot (Cladosporium): Maintains healthy foliage throughout the growing season, ensuring optimal bulb maturity and energy storage.

Operational use in the field

With its tall, sturdy stem and vibrant red-to-orange petals, Rubato is a top candidate for large-scale operations. Farmers rely on it for:

• Forced production cycles: Its mid-season blooming window makes it an essential component for seasonal flower planning and market supply scheduling.
• Cut flower excellence: High stem integrity ensures minimal waste during harvesting and transport, preserving the commercial value of the product.
• Landscaping: Its durability against wind and environmental stress makes it a reliable choice for commercial landscaping where consistency is key.

By integrating Rubato into your rotation, you ensure a higher yield of marketable blooms while reducing the need for intensive chemical interventions, leading to a more sustainable and profitable production cycle.
