Tulip Rocardo

Rocardo Tulips: Reliability and Classic Triumph Form

The Rocardo tulip has secured its place in the professional floriculture market by balancing the elegant aesthetics of the Triumph class with exceptional robustness. Unlike more fragile hybrids that require constant intervention, Rocardo is valued for its natural defensive capabilities against common greenhouse pathogens.

Key Advantages and Technical Strengths

• Superior Disease Resistance: The hybrid shows remarkable resilience against anthracnose, downy mildew, and powdery mildew. This trait makes it a low-maintenance choice for large-scale operations where hygiene management is paramount.
• Commercial Durability: As a true Triumph tulip, it features a sturdy, high stem and a classic, well-structured red flower cup. It is engineered to withstand transport, maintaining its shape and freshness longer than many other mid-season varieties.
• Predictable Harvest: Designed for consistency, its blooming cycle is reliable, allowing growers to time their output accurately for peak demand periods without the risk of crop failure.

Who Should Grow Rocardo?

Rocardo is the ideal "workhorse" for both commercial greenhouses and professional landscaping. It is best suited for growers looking to minimize the risks associated with fungal outbreaks. The deep, rich red color is a timeless market favorite, ensuring high liquidity in floral supply chains. For florists, this tulip offers excellent vase life and a sophisticated look that fits seamlessly into both monochromatic bouquets and complex floral arrangements.

Note for growers: due to its tall stature, the variety performs best in sheltered environments such as greenhouses. In open-field conditions, protection from heavy winds is necessary to preserve the integrity of the long stems.
