ON FIRE

The Iris "ON FIRE" is a tall bearded iris variety with a height ranging from 85 to 95 cm, captivating attention with its large flowers measuring from 10 to 15 cm and a bright aroma. The blooms feature a characteristic shape: three inner petals form a dome pointing upwards, while three outer petals droop downwards, creating a bristly beard. Their color ranges from pink-peach to blood-red with velvety pomegranate and cherry nuances, while the falls are lighter with a peachy edge. The blooming period lasts 2–3 weeks in May–June, and the decorative value persists until autumn.

The plant's appearance features smooth standards and velvety falls, sometimes colored in red-violet with a yellow base and dark violet veins. The leaves are basal, linear, gathered in fan-like clumps at the base, giving the plant a neat look. The Iris "ON FIRE" is distinguished by its resistance to unfavorable conditions thanks to sturdy flower stalks and durability until autumn.

For successful cultivation, it is necessary to provide fertile soil with the addition of compost or fertile earth, as well as to conduct deepening into the soil and mulching. Plants are placed in sunny areas protected from wind, while the distance between them should be sufficient for the free development of the root system. Care includes weeding, loosening, and removing withered inflorescences, as well as propagation by dividing the rhizome. Thanks to simple care and bright decorativeness, this variety will be an excellent choice both for garden compositions and for landscape design.
