Tulip Red Power

Technical Profile: Triumph Class

The 'Red Power' tulip is a prime example of Triumph-class breeding. Its structural architecture is optimized for maximum stem rigidity and petal durability. Unlike early-blooming varieties, this hybrid features a thickened petal cuticle, a critical factor for maintaining structural integrity during transportation and handling in varying humidity conditions.

Phytosanitary Potential

The primary competitive advantage of this hybrid is its comprehensive resistance to pathogens that typically limit yield in intensive floriculture:

• Fungal Resistance: Built-in genetic protection against Fusarium wilt significantly minimizes bulb loss during the storage phase.
• Foliar Immunity: A high threshold for resistance to Alternaria and Anthracnose enables a reduction in the frequency of fungicide applications by 20-30%.
• Powdery Mildew Defense: Maintains a stable phytosanitary baseline even under high-humidity conditions in greenhouse environments.

The tall growth habit of this plant necessitates strict adherence to forcing schedules. Categorized as a mid-season variety, 'Red Power' exhibits predictable developmental dynamics under controlled temperature regimes. The dense, deep red pigmentation of the petals is highly resistant to photodegradation, ensuring the bloom retains its commercial appeal throughout the entire flowering cycle.
