Tulip Lucky Strike

Triumph Variety Technical Profile

The 'Lucks Strike' tulip belongs to the Triumph class, which defines its key architectural advantage: a combination of a classic goblet-shaped bloom and structural stability of the stem during intense flowering. In commercial production, this variety is highly valued for its predictable growth patterns, typical of mid-season groups.

Biological Defense and Immune Potential

The primary strength of this genetic line lies in its complex resistance to pathogens that often limit bulb production in open soil. Breeding solutions provide:

• A high threshold of tolerance to Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum), which is critical in high-density planting environments.
• Active defense against fungal infections of vegetative organs, including anthracnose and alternaria, facilitated by a dense leaf cuticle and balanced metabolic processes.

Growth and Visual Specifications

Classified as a tall variety, 'Lucks Strike' requires precise planting density management to ensure adequate airflow. Its aesthetic value is driven by a striking bicolor pattern: a deep red petal base contrasted with pure white accents, creating a high-impact visual effect in both landscaping and floral arrangements. The sturdy, long stem makes this variety highly reliable for cut flower production.
