Tulip Parade Record

The Professional Choice for Commercial Forcing

The 'Parade Record' tulip, a classic Darwin hybrid, is a staple in professional horticulture, prized for its exceptional uniformity and robustness. Commercial growers favor this variety for its reliable performance, which is essential for meeting production targets during the peak spring season. Its genetic profile, marked by high resistance to fusarium, verticillium wilt, and cladosporium, significantly mitigates crop loss risks during high-density greenhouse production.

Field Performance and Operational Value

• Marketability: The variety produces strong, long stems and a vibrant red bloom, making it perfectly suited for automated packaging lines and long-distance logistics.
• Disease Resilience: High resistance to mosaic and leaf curl viruses, as well as root-knot nematodes, minimizes the need for heavy fungicide application, directly lowering production costs per stem.
• Strategic Timing: As a mid-season bloomer, 'Parade Record' allows for efficient labor distribution during the harvest period, ensuring that the team can manage large volumes without sacrificing quality.

For those managing soil health, the resistance to nematodes makes this variety a safe, sustainable choice for crop rotation. When managed under the correct temperature regime, 'Parade Record' produces a large, high-quality flower head that meets the highest retail standards. It is an ideal investment for farms looking to maximize yield while maintaining a stable, liquid product for the floral market.
