Choosing Reliability: Herman Emmink in Commercial Production

For growers specializing in late-flowering double tulips, the primary concern is plant resilience. Herman Emmink stands out as a top-tier choice due to its robust natural defense system. This variety demonstrates exceptional resistance to a complex of fungal diseases, including Fusarium wilt, Fusarium rot, Alternaria, Phoma, and black leg. By choosing this variety, you significantly reduce the operational costs associated with intensive fungicide treatments.

Operational Performance

Working with Herman Emmink is straightforward for field operators. The tall stem structure facilitates efficient harvesting and sorting, reducing labor time during peak season. The petal density is ideal for transport, ensuring that the blooms maintain their premium appearance from the field to the end consumer.

• Disease Resistance: Built-in protection against black leg and various rots minimizes crop loss during humid spring conditions.
• Aesthetic Value: The vibrant combination of yellow and red makes this late-blooming variety highly sought after for seasonal floral markets.
