Astilbe Brunhilde – a perennial decorative plant that attracts attention with its lace-like dark green leaves and dense light pink panicle inflorescences. The plant height usually reaches 70–80 cm, and the width – up to 60 cm, making it an ideal choice for creating living hedges or as an accent in shady garden corners.

The flowering period begins in mid-July and lasts for more than a month, until the beginning of autumn. Fluffy inflorescences are located on high stems, creating an effect of airiness and lightness. Due to prolonged flowering, Brunhilde becomes a constant decoration of summer, adding brightness and romance to the garden.

For successful growth, astilbe requires a moist substrate and slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5–6.5). The plant prefers partial shade or full shade, but can grow in more sunny places provided there is constant moisture. Regular watering is necessary, especially in spring and during hot periods; during drought the plant quickly loses its decorative qualities. In winter, it is recommended to cover the root system with peat or leaves to protect it from low temperatures. When planting, it is important to maintain sufficient distance between seedlings, as Brunhilde can actively spread.

Brunhilde is distinguished by its resistance to pests and diseases, as well as frost hardiness up to -23 °C (zone 6) and up to -29 °C (zone 5). This makes it suitable for use in urban parks, gardens, and for greening areas with a temperate climate. Thanks to simple care and beautiful appearance, astilbe Brunhilde becomes a popular choice among gardeners striving to add an exquisite floral accent to their landscape.
