Chickling vetch Pink Flamingo

Technical Profile: Lathyrus «Rozoviy Flamingo»

This breeding product, developed through the collaboration of Agrofirma Poisk LLC, the Educational and Scientific Center of the Vegetable Experimental Station, and the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, represents a specialized Lathyrus variety. The development, involving N. N. Klimenko, ensures high adaptability to regional climatic conditions.

Phytopathological Resilience and Morphology

A critical resilience feature of this variety is its pronounced resistance to powdery mildew. For production fields, this translates into a lower chemical load per hectare and minimizes the risk of leaf mass loss during the growing season. Morphological identification is based on the distinct pink color of the flowers, which facilitates field-level varietal inspection during the flowering phase.

Practical Implementation

This genetic material is designed for agronomists prioritizing balanced crop health. The breeding focus was centered on phenotypic stability. Utilizing this variety effectively mitigates pathogenic risks common in open-field cultivation through built-in immunological mechanisms against fungal infections.
