Tulip Grand Coulée

Fosteriana Heritage in the Modern Landscape

The Grand Choice tulip is a prominent representative of the Fosteriana tulip group. Rooted in the Tulipa fosteriana botanical species, this breeding category has long been valued by professional growers for its robust habit and ability to adapt to variable spring weather conditions.

Agrotechnical Advantages

This variety stands out from competitors due to its comprehensive disease resistance, which is critical for maintaining bulb health and floral display. The plant demonstrates high immunity to the following pathogens:

• Downy mildew (Peronospora);
• Phomopsis;
• Phoma blight;
• Sunflower rust.

Appearance and Growth Cycle

As an early-blooming variety, Grand Choice kicks off the spring season with large, deep red blooms. Its medium stem height provides excellent resistance to lodging during windy conditions, making it a popular choice for both mass plantings and accent beds. Thanks to its genetics, the cultivar exhibits a predictable growth rate, allowing agronomists to accurately forecast the peak of the flowering period.
