Description SOUTHERN GLORY
Freesia are elegant perennial herbaceous plants belonging to the Iris family, native to South Africa. Their characteristic aroma resembles the delicacy of lilies of the valley, and the flowers are arranged in bell-shaped clusters on slender stems. The height of the plants usually ranges from 40 to 60 cm, but can reach up to 80 cm, making them ideal for both bouquets and living compositions.

The assortment features frezias in a wide spectrum of shades – from pure white to bright red, yellow, pink, and violet. Thanks to modern cultivation techniques, freesia bouquets can be ordered year-round, and a mix of double-flowered varieties allows for a variety of colors in one set, which is especially valuable for those who appreciate both visual and aromatic richness.

Year-round cultivation of freesia requires the use of high-quality planting material and strict adherence to temperature regimes. For flowering from March to May, corms are planted in October–December at a soil temperature of 13–17 °C, then reduced to 8–10 °C. For the May–June period – planting from December–February at higher temperatures of 15–17 °C, gradually reducing to 12–13 °C. In hot weather in July, the greenhouse is shaded to maintain optimal conditions for growth and flowering.
