Tulip Eichleri

A Resilient Choice for Professional Cultivation

«Eichleri» (Ile de France) stands out in the tulip market not just for its vibrant appearance, but for its robust biological defense system. For professional growers, this variety represents a low-risk asset, particularly when timing production for early spring windows. Unlike many modern hybrids that demand near-perfect environmental control, this variety is characterized by its forgiving nature and high survival rates.

Disease Resistance as a Competitive Edge

The primary reason commercial greenhouses choose this variety is its impressive resistance to common pathogens. The breeding focus has successfully minimized the threats of verticillium wilt, fusarium wilt, and cladosporiosis. Furthermore, its resistance to tomato mosaic virus provides a significant buffer in environments where soil-borne pathogens are a constant challenge. This resilience effectively translates into reduced expenditure on fungicides and higher consistency in final yield quality.

Agronomic Profile

• Aesthetics: A deep, rich red pigment that remains stable and vibrant without fading under high light intensity.
• Production Schedule: Being an early-flowering variety, it allows growers to capture the early-season market.
• Structural Integrity: The medium height provides an ideal balance between stem strength and flexibility, ensuring minimal lodging and excellent logistics efficiency.

«Eichleri» is built for the commercial cut-flower sector. While it is less prone to cultural errors than delicate niche cultivars, it does require disciplined temperature management during the forcing process. The only caveat for growers is the standard phototropic response; if light levels are poorly managed, the stem may stretch more than intended. For those prioritizing consistent profit margins over high-maintenance exotic novelties, this tulip is a dependable workhorse.
