Tulip Diamond Destiny

Technical profile of the 'Diamond Destiny' Tulip

Belonging to the Triumph class, this hybrid is the result of selective breeding focused on balancing aesthetic appeal with biological endurance. Its genetic core provides the capacity to form a robust, mid-height flower stem, maintaining resistance to lodging even during periods of significant soil moisture fluctuations.

Biological Defense: Pathogen Resistance

A critical advantage of this variety is its genetic tolerance to common soil-borne infections:

• Fusarium: the variety demonstrates high resistance to Fusarium fungi, reducing the risk of bulb loss during storage and planting in high-moisture conditions.
• Verticillium: the modified structure of the plant's vascular bundles limits the spread of pathogens within the stem.
• Bacterial Wilt: specific breeding selections ensure an elevated level of phytoimmunity, which is crucial for maintaining a marketable appearance under intensive cultivation conditions.

Flowering Morphology

The flower possesses the classic goblet shape characteristic of the Triumph group. The petals exhibit a complex coloration, shifting from a creamy base to a rich pink gradient. In terms of bloom time, the variety is classified as mid-season, making it suitable for both open-field cultivation and greenhouse production for standard-quality cut flowers.

The practical value of 'Diamond Destiny' lies in its developmental predictability—when temperature protocols are followed, the bulb demonstrates uniform sprouting and synchronized stem emergence, significantly simplifying the planning and harvesting process.
