Tulip Dior

The Aesthetics of Early Blooming

The 'Dior' tulip has firmly established itself in the niche of early double-flowering varieties, becoming a benchmark for those seeking volume and richness in the spring garden. This is not merely a decorative plant but a breeding achievement focused on consistency, even amidst unpredictable spring weather. The variety is valued for its reliability: with a medium stem height, it maintains excellent resistance to lodging, which is critical for professional cut-flower production and landscape arrangements.

Agronomic Potential

A key feature of this variety is its high threshold of resistance to pathogens that commonly affect bulbous crops. 'Dior' demonstrates robust resistance to anthracnose, fusarium, and powdery mildew. This genetic protection minimizes the need for fungicidal treatments, effectively reducing production costs and simplifying maintenance for both private collectors and commercial growers.

• Type: Double early tulip.
• Color: Delicate pink petals with a distinct texture.
• Blooming period: Mid-season for its specific group.
• Habit: Medium-height plant with a sturdy peduncle.

The variety's reputation is built on the balance between aesthetic appeal and biological resilience. The pink hue of the petals holds significant commercial value, while the double-flowering structure provides added volume, making it a favorite for early-season floral arrangements. Choosing this variety is an investment in reliable planting material that does not require complex agronomic interventions to achieve high-quality results.
