Tulip Diamond

Operational Stability in Tulip Production

When working with the 'Diamond' variety, one immediately notices its predictability. As a member of the Single Early tulip class, it performs like a reliable tool in the field: few unforeseen crop losses and a clear development cycle. For an operator, this means less time spent adjusting agronomic plans and more time focusing on scaling production.

Resilience and Disease Management

Soil-borne diseases are the primary challenge in tulip cultivation. The 'Diamond' variety simplifies this significantly due to its innate resistance to Alternaria, Verticillium wilt, and Fusarium. In practical terms, this reduces the need for heavy fungicide applications, translating into lower operational costs and better protection for your bulb stock during both storage and forcing. You minimize risk while keeping the input budget under control.

Marketability and Handling

Visually, the variety lives up to its name: the delicate gradient from pure white to soft pink is highly sought after in retail. The medium height of the stem streamlines the harvesting and packaging processes, as the plants do not become overgrown, which is essential for dense greenhouse or field planting. The medium flowering period allows for easy integration into supply chains, ensuring consistent throughput during peak demand periods without bottlenecks.

• Lower fungicide costs due to strong genetic resistance.
• Predictable and consistent maturation cycle.
• High commercial appeal of the inflorescences.
• Ideal plant height for automated or manual harvesting.
