Tulip Wendy Love

Aesthetic Appeal of the Triumph Class

The 'Wendy Love' variety occupies a solid position in the segment of mid-season Triumph tulips. This cultivar is geared toward both professional greenhouse production and landscape design, where a balance between delicate appearance and robust biological performance is essential.

Biological Resilience

A key feature of 'Wendy Love' is its high adaptive potential against phytopathogens, making it a preferred choice for regions susceptible to fungal and viral infections. The plant exhibits comprehensive resistance to several major threats:

• Verticillium wilt
• Tobacco mosaic virus
• Fusarium wilt
• Cladosporiosis

This genetic protection significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications and minimizes the risk of losing marketability under adverse weather conditions.

Visual Characteristics

The variety is prized for its soft, pastel aesthetic. The fusion of pink and cream tones in the petals gives the buds a sense of volume and elegance. Its medium height makes it an excellent choice for cut flower bouquets and garden borders, where it maintains a sturdy, upright habit without the need for additional support.

For the commercial sector, this variety serves as a reliable asset. Its predictable blooming schedule and strong disease resistance allow growers to plan harvests effectively for peak holiday demand, with minimal risk of crop failure or material rejection.
