Tulip Avenue

Aesthetics of the Classic Triumph

The "Avenue" tulip firmly holds its position in the segment of mid-season varieties of the Triumph group. Breeding of this type is aimed at combining the grace of a classic goblet flower with resistance to fickle spring weather conditions. In commercial and amateur floriculture, the variety is valued for its developmental predictability and striking bicolor appearance, where deep red tones transition harmoniously into lilac shades.

Agrotechnical Profile

A major strength of this model is its genetically determined tolerance to a complex of pathogens that typically limit bulb crop yields. "Avenue" demonstrates high resistance to the following diseases:

• White rot (Sclerotinia);
• Downy mildew (Peronospora);
• Phomopsis;
• Phoma (Phomosis).

These characteristics significantly reduce the need for preventive fungicide treatments, making cultivation more cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

Market Niche and Application

The medium height of the flower stalk makes the variety a versatile tool for landscape designers and florists. Tulips of this type look excellent in mass plantings, creating dense, uniformly colored beds. Due to the thickness of the petals, "Avenue" retains its marketability during transportation and has a long vase life, making it highly sought after in retail. The variety is suitable for both open-field cultivation and greenhouse forcing, which expands its commercial potential during the early spring season.
