Description TI 17
TI 17 is a high-yielding triticale variety, representing a wheat and rye hybrid, possessing high adaptability and resistance to various climatic and biological stresses. The plant is of medium height (94–110 cm) with an intermediate bush form and high productive bushiness. The ear is prismatic, medium-sized and dense, with a characteristic waxy bloom on the glume. The grain is semi-elongated, light red in color, medium-sized with a fine groove, ensuring high-quality raw material for food and feed purposes.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to main ear diseases, such as powdery mildew and rust, as well as winter hardiness and resistance to lodging and shattering. TI 17 is adapted to intensive cultivation technologies with the possibility of applying minimal or moderate fertilization. It also exhibits high heat and drought resistance, as well as resistance to root rots, making it a reliable choice for various soil and climatic conditions.

The grain of the variety is characterized by high protein content — up to 16%, as well as a significant amount of gluten (up to 32.7%), which increases its food and feed value. The mass of 1000 grains is about 42.65 g, natural mass is 744 g/l, and grain moisture is on average 12.2%. In addition, the variety demonstrates good indices of vitreousness and gluten quality, which is important for processing and use in the food industry. The yield potential exceeds 110 c/ha, which is confirmed by average yield indicators in various regions.
