YELLOW GIANT

The Yellow Giant tomato is a medium-maturing semi-determinate variety with bright yellow fruits, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The plant reaches a height of 1.0 to 1.5 meters and requires staking and pinching for proper formation. The fruits of this variety are large, flat-round, smooth or ribbed, weighing up to 300 grams, with some descriptions mentioning even larger specimens up to 700 grams. Ripening occurs 90-105 days after sowing, making it a medium-maturing variety.

The flesh of Yellow Giant tomatoes is juicy, tender, and low in acidity, giving the fruits a rich sweet flavor. Due to their bright lemon-yellow color and delicate taste, these tomatoes are widely used fresh for salads, as well as suitable for canning and juice production. A distinctive feature of this variety is its hypoallergenic nature, making it beneficial for children, elderly people, and allergy sufferers, as well as positively affecting liver, kidney, and digestive system function.

For cultivation, seeds should be sown at a depth of 1-2 cm in March-April, followed by transplanting when the plants have 2-3 true leaves. Seedlings are transplanted into greenhouses in April-May, and into open ground in June, following a planting scheme of 40x60 cm. The crop prefers light, fertile soils and requires good lighting and warmth. To improve germination, seeds are recommended to be treated with a manganese solution. Yield of this variety ranges from 4 to 11 kg per plant depending on growing conditions.
