EMERALD APPLE

Tomato Emerald Apple is a tall, medium-ripening variety with an indeterminate growth habit and moderately leafy bush. The plant reaches a height of 70 cm to 1.5 m and requires training, staking, and pinching; optimal productivity is achieved with a two-stem formation. Leaves are medium-sized and dark green, while inflorescences are complex and intermediate, forming above the 8th-9th leaf with subsequent intervals of three leaves. The peduncle has a distinctive joint, facilitating harvest.

The fruits are flat-round, slightly ribbed, with an unusual emerald-green color and a yellowish tint upon full ripening. Each fruit weighs between 250 and 500 grams, with more than four locules per fruit. The flesh is juicy and succulent but not watery, with a delicate, pleasant flavor reminiscent of kiwi, with a slight, barely noticeable acidity. Due to its flavor qualities and unique color, Tomato Emerald Apple is ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling, salting, and adding to salads and vegetable assortments.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 5.6–6.2 kg per square meter, and adaptability to various growing conditions. It can be successfully cultivated both in open ground and under cover. Additionally, the tomato demonstrates moderate resistance to phytophthora, making it an attractive choice for gardeners seeking large, flavorful, and distinctive fruits with minimal care.
