Tomato UG Red F1 / Yuji Red F1

Technological Features of Yuji Red F1

This hybrid from Unigen Seeds (United Genetics) breeders is a classic example of a determinate tomato designed for stable productivity with minimal manual labor requirements. The core engineering solution achieved in this variety is the optimization of vegetative mass in relation to fruit load.

Plant Architecture and Yield Formation

The determinate growth habit of Yuji Red F1 predetermines a balanced development pattern: the plant naturally limits its growing point after setting a specific number of clusters. For an agronomist, this means no need for exhausting pruning (suckering), which is critical for large-scale open-field cultivation. The compact habit maintains optimal aeration, reducing the risk of late blight and other fungal infections.

Fruit Specification

• Weight 40–60 grams: the perfect size for whole-fruit canning and drying.
• Plum shape: ensures high packaging density and minimal deformation during transport.
• Color: intense red, indicating a high lycopene content.

A dense skin combined with firm flesh makes this hybrid a technological choice for mechanized harvesting or rapid manual sorting. The tomato demonstrates high marketability, retaining its attractive appearance even after extended storage, a direct result of Unigen Seeds' breeding focus on shelf life and transportability.
