Tomato Uno Rosso F1

Consistent yields without extra effort

For a farmer focused on processing or fresh market sales, the Uno Rosso F1 hybrid from Unigen Seeds is a reliable workhorse. With this determinate hybrid, you get predictable results: uniform 40–60 gram fruits. Their shape is ideal for whole-fruit canning, and the firm skin ensures they arrive at the market in perfect condition, even after transport.

Agronomy and Protection

The main advantage of working with this hybrid is its field durability. United Genetics has integrated robust disease resistance at the genetic level, meaning you won't need to spray every few days in humid or high-pressure conditions. The plants effectively defend themselves against a wide range of threats:

• Alternaria and Fusarium wilt: essential for maintaining plant health throughout the season.
• Verticillium wilt: the risk of vascular disease losses is minimized.
• Root-knot nematode: a major challenge for many farms, already addressed through genetic resistance.

The determinate growth habit significantly simplifies day-to-day management. These plants do not require complex pruning, support heavy fruit loads well, and fit neatly into your planting rows. With a maturity window of 90–100 days, you get a concentrated harvest, which is critical for efficient marketing and labor planning.

Storage and Marketability

The product quality is a major benefit for your bottom line. Even after 20–30 days of storage, these tomatoes retain their firmness and vibrant red color. This flexibility allows you to wait out market fluctuations and sell your product when the price is right. For the grower, this translates into fewer sorting losses and a high pack-out percentage.
