Tomato 'Lagidnyi' is an early-maturing determinate variety with a vegetation period ranging from 95 to 120 days, depending on growing conditions. The plants are strong, reaching a height of about 60 cm, have simple green foliage, and form clusters with 4–5 juicy, plum-shaped fruits. The fruits are characterized by a deep red color, smooth skin, and a weight of 50 to 90 grams, ensuring excellent appearance and consumer appeal.
The variety is valued for its high yield and uniform fruit ripening, allowing for a stable and abundant harvest. Tomatoes 'Lagidnyi' have a delicate flavor and are versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption as well as processing, including whole-fruit canning and pickling. Due to its cold tolerance and adaptability to various climatic conditions in Ukraine, this variety is recommended for open-ground cultivation in all regions of the country.
For successful cultivation of tomato 'Lagidnyi', seeds should be sown in fertile, well-drained soils such as loamy and clay loam, on sunny sites. Seeds undergo pre-sowing treatment and germination testing, ensuring good germination and seedling development. Seedlings are transplanted to open ground or greenhouses at about two months old, following a 30x70 cm spacing. During cultivation, timely fertilization, regular watering, plant shaping, and staking are necessary to maintain plant health and increase yield. Despite its high productivity, the variety has moderate susceptibility to fungal diseases, requiring careful care and preventive measures.
