Pulsion is a late-maturing tomato hybrid designed for cultivation in high-tech greenhouses, including light-culture systems. The plant is indeterminate with long, dark green leaves and intermediate flowering. Fruits are flat-round, dense, and medium-ribbed, weighing between 10 and 15 grams. Unripe fruits are green, while ripe ones develop a deep red hue. The fruits have two locules, characteristic of salad-type varieties. Pulsion is distinguished by its excellent taste and high commercial yield, reaching 11.9 kg per square meter in winter greenhouses.
This cherry tomato with a plum-like shape is suitable for extended turnover and single-fruit harvesting. It has uniform fruit size and shape, ensuring an attractive appearance and ease of use. Its compact cluster exhibits high resistance to fruit drop, which helps preserve yield and reduces losses during harvest. The sugar content (BRIX) in the fruits is 8.5, providing a pleasant sweet flavor and making the hybrid popular for salad consumption.
Pulsion shows resistance to several diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus (ToMV), late blight (Fol), verticillium wilt (Va, Vd), fusarium (For), and other pathogens, making it a reliable choice for intensive cultivation across various climatic zones. The hybrid was developed by NUNHEMS B.V. and registered in 2020, confirming its modernity and adaptation to current agronomic requirements.
