Kuzya

Cucumber Kuya — an early-maturing hybrid variety, intended for cultivation in open ground and under temporary film covers. This parthenocarpic (self-pollinating) hybrid features clustered flower buds at nodes, ensuring a uniform and stable yield. The fruits have an oval-cylindrical shape, 5-7 cm long, with fine warts and dark green color with white pubescence. Genetically, the variety is free of bitterness, making it particularly attractive to consumers.

Kuya is characterized by high yield: in open ground, it reaches 7.0 kg per square meter, and under film covers — up to 15.6 kg per square meter. Fruit marketability is 95-97%, indicating high quality and attractiveness of cucumbers. Thanks to its crisp and juicy flesh, the fruits are ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for making salads, pickling, and preserving.

A distinctive feature of this variety is increased resistance to a complex of diseases, including false and true powdery mildew, as well as cucumber mosaic virus. This makes Kuya a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Cucumbers of this variety are excellent for pickling and preserving as piquettes (1-3 cm) and mini-cornichons (3-5 cm), expanding their culinary applications.
