Tomato PEPPER-SHAPED STURDY is an early and high-yielding variety developed by Siberian breeders specifically for cultivation in open ground. From germination to the start of fruit ripening, it takes 105-110 days. The plant is compact, bushy, and only 30-40 cm tall, eliminating the need for pinching or staking. Such a low-growing bush is ideal for limited spaces and simplifies plant care.
The tomato fruits have a distinctive pepper-like shape and a maroon color with a dark spot near the stem. They are fairly large, weighing up to 150 grams, and have excellent flavor both fresh and when preserved. The variety is resistant to tomato mosaic virus (TMV) and is adapted to harsh climatic conditions of Western Siberia, making it a reliable choice for regions with difficult weather conditions.
The yield of this variety reaches up to 4 kg per square meter. For planting, it is recommended to place 3-5 plants per 1 square meter. Sowing for seedlings should be done 50-60 days before transplanting into the ground, at an optimal seed germination temperature of 23-25°C. The variety responds well to regular watering and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers, which promotes a stable and high-quality harvest.
