Tomato DAWK'S GARDENER

Working with the «Damskiy Ugodnik» Tomato

When dealing with determinant varieties from Agrofirma Aelita, you immediately understand the value proposition: predictable results and process efficiency. The «Damskiy Ugodnik» tomato is a workhorse for those who want to avoid endless pruning and the constant struggle against plant pathogens.

Agronomics and Maintenance
The maturation period of 100-120 days allows for flexible harvest planning. The bush is compact and determinant—a critical factor for operational efficiency. Unlike indeterminate varieties, you don't waste hours on trellising and constant suckering, which significantly reduces labor costs per hectare. The plant is sturdy and resists dense growth, making both chemical application and fruit harvesting much simpler.

Stress Resistance
The primary concern for any producer is viral infection. The breeders at Aelita have incorporated a robust barrier against Verticillium and Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) into the «Damskiy Ugodnik» genetics. In practice, this means reduced pesticide dependence throughout the season. The plant is forgiving of minor inconsistencies in irrigation and feeding schedules, maintaining fruit set even under temperature fluctuations.

Economics and Yield

Under proper management, one can expect yields of 100-130 tons per hectare. The 100-150 gram fruits are the industry standard for fresh market and processing. Their rounded, dense shape ensures durability during handling and transport, keeping shrinkage losses to a minimum and preserving marketability.

Final Assessment:
This variety is designed for growers who prioritize efficiency and ROI. With minimal maintenance requirements, predictable yield potential, and strong viral resistance, it is a stable and commercially viable choice for intensive farming.
