Tomato Marti

Focus on Aesthetics and Taste: The 'Marti' Tomato in Your Farm

For farmers focusing on the cherry and cocktail tomato segments, the 'Marti' hybrid from Lark Seeds International is a strategic asset. This indeterminate hybrid of American breeding fits perfectly into the production conveyor schemes where premium-quality produce is highly valued.

Applications and Agrotechnology

The primary niche for this variety is professional greenhouse and plastic tunnel cultivation. The indeterminate growth habit requires disciplined plant training and support systems, but the result justifies the resource investment. 'Marti' shows excellent response to drip irrigation and balanced fertigation, allowing for predictable harvests within a 90-day window.

Market Value of the Yield

• Weight specifications: Fruits weighing 20-40 grams are the gold standard for clam-shell packaging, making them highly convenient for retail distribution.
• Visual marketing: The heart-shaped form, combined with a vibrant color palette (red and yellow fruits), makes this tomato a top choice for gourmet vegetable baskets and restaurant plating.
• Logistics: Fruit firmness ensures excellent transportability. This is a critical factor for producers who grow in regional areas and ship to major urban markets, effectively minimizing post-harvest losses.

Choosing 'Marti' is a smart move for farms that aim to sell not just standard produce, but a high-value product with stable demand and excellent shelf life.
