Masumi

Masumi F1 tomato is an early indeterminate hybrid of pink-fruited tomato developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. The plant is tall, reaching heights of 1.8 to 3 meters, with medium internode length and a strong root system. Masumi F1 is highly adaptable to growing conditions and care, quickly adjusts and consistently sets fruit throughout its growth period. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses with or without heating, suitable for first and second crop rotations, making it a versatile solution for farms focused on early harvests. The fruits of Masumi tomato have a round shape and a vibrant, deep pink color without green spots at the stem end. The average fruit weight is 200-250 grams; they are firm, resistant to cracking, and maintain high marketability throughout the growing period. The flesh is juicy, slightly sweet, and aromatic, ensuring excellent taste qualities. Due to these characteristics, Masumi F1 is widely used for fresh market sales. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to common solanaceous diseases, including tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), Fusarium wilt (Ff), Verticillium wilt (Fol), Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus (TYLCV), and nematodes. This resistance allows cultivation of Masumi F1 tomato under various climatic conditions with minimal yield loss. High yield and early, uniform fruiting make this hybrid attractive for commercial greenhouse cultivation.
