Tomato RED CANINE

Cultivation Practice: Technical Insights

The 'Krasny Klyk' (Red Fang) tomato is a reliable, high-performance cultivar designed for efficient space management in the garden. Developed by Elizaveta Romanovna Kudryavtseva, this variety focuses on delivering a high yield on compact plants, making daily maintenance and harvesting straightforward.

Operational Performance and Maintenance

• Ripening cycle: An ultra-early variety. You can expect the first harvest within 85–90 days after emergence, effectively bypassing the peak window for common fungal pathogens.
• Plant care: Due to the heavy fruit load on the clusters, staking is mandatory. While the plant is compact, the weight of the fruit requires structural support to prevent stem breakage. Pruning is moderate, minimizing the labor required during the growth cycle.
• Fruit specs: The tomatoes are cylindrical, weighing between 20g and 60g. They are specifically suited for whole-fruit canning, as they retain their integrity and don't burst during heat processing.
• Resource efficiency: With a typical planting density of 40x50 cm, the variety provides excellent output per square meter, making it a high-utility choice for limited garden areas.

These plants demonstrate impressive resilience, maintaining fruit quality even during inconsistent watering regimes. They are highly resistant to cracking, ensuring that your harvest remains marketable and easy to process. This is a practical solution for gardeners prioritizing consistent results with manageable labor input.
