Tomato Radana

Stable cherry yields: why professionals choose Radana

Czech breeding house Moravoseed has held a strong position in the indeterminate tomato segment for decades, and Radana remains a flagship variety for growers focusing on high-quality small-fruited crops. It is a classic cherry tomato prized for its predictability and consistent yield.

Agronomic features and field application

Radana is designed for greenhouse cultivation or outdoor use with support; it requires consistent pruning and staking. Its indeterminate growth habit allows for maximum utilization of vertical space, a key factor for farmers maximizing greenhouse square footage.

• Timing and Planning: A maturity period of 90–100 days allows for efficient harvest scheduling throughout the mid-summer peak season.
• Harvest Efficiency: The 20–40 gram plum-shaped fruits are exceptionally uniform, which streamlines grading and packaging operations.
• Market Readiness: Primarily aimed at the fresh market and the HoReCa sector. Its firm skin prevents cracking during transit, while the rich, distinct tomato flavor makes it a favorite for culinary use.

In intensive farming conditions, Radana responds exceptionally well to drip irrigation and precise nutrient management. When properly pruned, the fruit clusters ripen uniformly, significantly reducing labor costs during multi-pass harvesting.
