ZLATOVLASKA

The Zlatovlaska tomato is an early cherry variety with yellow-orange fruits, successfully grown both in open ground and under greenhouse conditions. The plant is indeterminate, vigorous, and sprawling, reaching up to 2 meters in height and requiring pruning and support. Each truss produces about 10 fruits, which are round and smooth-skinned. Fruit weight varies from 15 to 30 grams, with a bright color and firm skin, ensuring good storage and protection.

The fruits of the Zlatovlaska tomato have excellent taste qualities: sweet with a slight acidity, making them suitable for fresh consumption as well as for whole-fruit canning, hot dishes, juices, and sauces. The plant is disease-resistant and not sensitive to changes in growing conditions, while it responds well to regular watering and fertilization, promoting stable yields.

For successful cultivation, sow seeds in seed trays in March at a depth of about 1 cm. Transplant seedlings into open ground after the threat of night frosts has passed, pre-acclimating plants to sunlight. The optimal planting density is 50–55 cm between plants in rows and 60–70 cm between rows. Among beneficial companions for the Zlatovlaska tomato, spinach is recommended as it helps protect plants from nematodes. Harvesting occurs in June–July, depending on climatic conditions.
