KASPAR 2

Tomato Kaspas 2 is an early-maturing determinate hybrid developed by Anatoly Nikitovich Lukyanenko and his co-authors. This hybrid features a compact plant up to 80 cm tall with large green leaves and simple inflorescences bearing 4 to 6 fruits. The fruits are cylindrical or pepper-shaped, with a deep red color and an average weight of 90 to 200 grams. The fruits contain 2-3 seed chambers, have dense, fleshy flesh, and a strong skin, ensuring high storability and transportability of tomatoes.

Kaspas 2 is valued for its high yield, reaching up to 10 kg per square meter, as well as excellent fruit flavor. The hybrid is resistant to cracking, making it ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for whole-fruit canning and pickling. Due to its hardiness and high resistance to diseases such as verticillium wilt and fusarium wilt, this tomato is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses.

To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to train the plant into a two-stem form and pinch out suckers. Sowing for seedlings is carried out in March–early April, while transplanting into greenhouses and open ground occurs in April–May and June, respectively. The optimal planting scheme is 30 by 50 cm.
