Tomato RUMYANETS

Practical Application of 'Rumyanets' Tomatoes

The 'Rumyanets' variety from the Poisk Agricultural Firm is a specialized tool for growers focusing on fruit aesthetics and shelf-life. Its indeterminate growth habit requires greenhouse cultivation with mandatory trellising and pruning to 1-2 stems. This approach ensures maximum efficiency in protected soil environments.

Application Scenarios

• Whole-fruit canning: The cylindrical shape and compact weight (20–40 g) make these fruits perfect for pickling. They pack tightly into jars, resist cracking during processing, and maintain their structural integrity.
• Fresh produce market: Known for vibrant color and excellent transportability, this variety is highly sought after in retail and the HoReCa segment for culinary presentation and food styling.
• Extended harvest: As a mid-late variety (120–130 days), it offers a staggered harvest, which is ideal for small farms looking to extend their supply period.

Agronomic management requires humidity control within the greenhouse during the ripening phase. The indeterminate nature of the plant demands timely suckering, which is a critical operation for producing high-quality market-grade fruits. Its resilience to temperature fluctuations and distinct appearance make 'Rumyanets' a reliable choice for consistent yields with superior flavor profiles.
