BUDENOVEC

The tomato variety Budenovets is a medium-early, high-yielding variety popular among experienced gardeners. Plants can be medium or tall, reaching up to 2 meters in height. The vegetation period ranges from 90 to 115 days depending on growing conditions. The fruits are heart-shaped with a pointed tip, weighing from 105 to 300 grams, colored dark red, and possessing excellent taste qualities. The variety is characterized by multi-chambered fruits and good marketability, making it suitable for fresh consumption, processing, canning, as well as for producing ketchup and tomato paste.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use light, fertile soils, along with regular fertilizations, watering, mulching, and preventive spraying. Seeds should be treated with potassium permanganate solution prior to sowing, and sown at a depth of 1–1.5 cm. Seedlings are transplanted at the age of 50–60 days.

To increase yield, agronomic practices such as root pruning, branch trimming, and pinching are applied. The variety is determinate, which simplifies care and harvesting.
