Tomato Macho

Focus on Yield and Disease Resistance

When selecting a variety for greenhouse cultivation, the main goal is to balance size and plant health. The "Macho" tomato by Euro-Semena is a reliable indeterminate variety that proves to be a real workhorse. With a maturation period of 100–120 days, it allows for a predictable harvest, while the fruits consistently weighing over 200 grams make them a solid choice for both fresh consumption and processing.

Growing Experience and Hardiness

Greenhouse environments often face pressure from tobacco mosaic virus and alternaria, which can ruin a crop in a week. "Macho" holds up well; its genetic resistance to major viral diseases and late blight significantly reduces the need for heavy chemical treatments. This saves both budget and time on maintenance.

Cultivation and Plant Management

Being an indeterminate type, the plant needs consistent support. The cylindrical shape of the fruit is practical for packing, and the 3–4 chamber structure provides good, meaty flesh without excessive wateriness. As for care, it follows the standard routine: consistent watering, phased fertilization, and timely pruning of side shoots. Given the expertise behind this breeding, the variety is remarkably stable and uniform in production.

• Fruit Weight: 200g+, excellent marketability.
• Resilience: Strong defense against mosaic viruses and late blight.
• Form: Cylindrical, firm, and uniform.
