Tomato STEPNOY

Tomato variety STEPNOY is intended for cultivation in open ground, especially in southern regions with hot and dry climate. This medium-early determinate variety is distinguished by high drought and heat resistance, enabling stable yield even at air temperatures above +40°C. The plant is tall, reaching 150-170 cm in height, with simple inflorescences and medium-sized green leaves. The peduncle has a joint, facilitating harvest.

The fruits of tomato STEPNOY are round, smooth, and firm, with bright red color when fully ripe. Fruit weight ranges from 80 to 180 g, but under favorable conditions, large fruits weighing up to 0.4-0.5 kg can be grown. Tomatoes are multi-chambered with 4-6 locules, possessing excellent taste with moderate acidity, delicate tomato aroma, and sweetness of flesh. Dry matter content in juice is 5.4-5.8%, and total sugar content is 3.2-3.3%. Yield of this variety is high — from 236 to 447 centners per hectare, with marketable fruit output reaching 96%.

STEPNOY is versatile in use: fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, salad preparation, juice, and winter pickling. They tolerate transportation well and can be stored for at least a month, making the variety attractive for commercial cultivation and sale. The plant requires minimal care, can be grown both from seedlings and direct sowing into the soil, and has prolonged fruiting, ensuring a long harvest period.
