Tomato ABRUCCO

Italian heritage in every harvest

The 'Abruzzo' tomato, developed by the Agrofirma Aelita team including breeders Vladimir Kachaynik, Mikhail Gulkin, and Svetlana Matyunina, brings the premium characteristics of Mediterranean varieties to the professional market. Named after the historic Italian region, this variety is prized for its substantial flesh, intense flavor profile, and uniform harvest.

Technical Cultivation Details

As an indeterminate plant, 'Abruzzo' requires precise pruning and trellising. In greenhouse conditions, it showcases vigorous growth, reaching peak productivity in just under 90 days from germination. With a yield potential exceeding 190 tons per hectare, it stands out as a highly efficient choice for commercial vegetable production.

Key Advantages

• Fruit characteristics: A "plum-type" tomato with individual weights often exceeding 200 grams, a significant size advantage for this fruit category.
• Market utility: Due to high dry matter content and firm skin, these tomatoes are excellent for long-distance logistics, processing, and traditional culinary use.
• Reliability: Unlike many F1 hybrids, this variety provides consistent performance, allowing farmers to predict output with a high degree of accuracy.

The 'Abruzzo' variety by Agrofirma Aelita is engineered for professionals who demand both high-volume production and the authentic, balanced taste that characterizes elite heirloom-inspired plum tomatoes.
