Description Medok
Thyme «Medok» is a perennial plant reaching up to 30 cm in height with a creeping woody stem. The leaves are dark green and small, while the flowers are small pink, gathered at the ends of branches in corymbose inflorescences. The plant is light-loving and tolerates drought and frost well, making it convenient to grow both in the garden and in pots.

Young shoots of «Medok» have a strong pleasant aroma and a slight bitter spicy taste. They contain essential oils, mineral salts, tannins, and organic acids, which ensure the plant rich chemical complexity. Due to these properties, thyme is widely used in cooking as a spice and for preserving vegetables, as well as in folk medicine – for preparing tinctures, compresses, and teas with sedative, analgesic, antispasmodic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing effects.

«Medok» is easy to grow: it can be transplanted or planted directly into the soil. After 3–4 years, the plant is renewed by reseeding with seeds or cuttings, ensuring long-term productivity and an attractive look in the garden plot.
