Description BOGORODSKY SEMKO
Bogorodsky Semko is a perennial plant that grows in one place for three to five years. Its thin, upright flowering stems reach a height of 20–30 cm, and the stems can be creeping and sometimes rooting.

The leaves of this variety are small, elliptical (or short-elliptical), and grayish-green in color. They possess a strong spicy aroma and a slightly bitter, burning taste, which makes the plant a valuable ingredient in cuisine. The flowers are bright pink or pink-lilac, and the flowering period lasts from May to September.

Bogorodsky Semko is characterized by good green yield – 0.3–0.5 kg/m². In the middle belt, it is best grown via seedlings, planted at a distance of 30×15 cm; in southern regions – by sowing seeds with an interval of 35×20 cm. The plant is also a good nectar source and can be used not only as a fresh and dried spicy seasoning but also in homeopathy.
