The tobacco variety "Symbol-4" belongs to late-maturing varieties, ensuring an optimal period from planting to flowering – 84 days. Bushes have a conical shape and reach a height of about 1.6 meters. Each bush typically grows 24–26 technical leaves, which are sessile, widely oval with a wide notch. The size of the leaf in the middle row is approximately 40×22 cm, and the color is light-green.
The tobacco is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and minimal wilting of leaves on the stem, which increases its yield and raw material quality. The raw material has a yellow-brown hue. For harvesting leaves, it is recommended to wait for complete yellowing with the appearance of light spots – this is the optimal moment for obtaining a quality product.
The variety "Symbol-4" was reproduced in 2020 and belongs to the aromatic skeletal type. It is characterized by late-maturing ripeness (73–81 days) and medium strength, making it suitable both for tobacco production and for further use in various products. Processing is carried out by the method of shade drying, preserving the aromatic properties of the leaves.
