Description
Chard "Charly" – a high-yielding hybrid, specifically developed for producing small leaf (baby leaf) products. The plant grows quickly and forms oval dark green leaves covered with bright red or purple stems and veins. This contrast creates an attractive appearance that is valued both in the fresh market and in cuisine.
Harvest is achieved in 65‑70 days after sowing: the plant matures quickly, and the leaves retain their rich color until harvest. The plant height is about 20–25 cm, and the stem is upright with petioles 30–40 cm long, making it convenient for harvesting young plants.
The hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to cercosporosis and is suitable for both open ground and greenhouses. Thanks to juicy, fleshy, and slightly curly leaves, "Charly" is perfect for preparing borscht, pies, salads, and other dishes where freshness and taste are valued.
