FAUSTO ST

FAUSTO ST — this is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid designed for cultivation using the ExpressSun® technology with the herbicide Granstar (tribenuron-methyl). It demonstrates excellent yield potential, reaching up to 45 c/ha, and is well-adapted to various soil-climate conditions, allowing successful cultivation across all of Ukraine, as well as in the forest-steppe and Polesie regions. The vegetation period ranges from 108 to 118 days, with early flowering and rapid early growth, ensuring timely maturity and high crop productivity.

The hybrid features large heads with a diameter of 20-25 cm and plant heights ranging from 155 to 175 cm. Seed oil content is approximately 48-53%, ensuring high oil content in the harvest. The 1000-seed mass is about 62 g, and the seed density is 400-430 g/l. Plants exhibit semi-upright head inclination and high resistance to shattering, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses.

FAUSTO ST exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including white mold (7 points), fusarium and fusariosis (8 points), gray mold (8-9 points), rust and false powdery mildew (8 points). The hybrid’s drought tolerance is rated at 7-8 points, enabling cultivation under conditions of insufficient and unstable moisture supply at appropriate planting density. Resistance to phytotoxicity covers 5 races (A-E), further enhancing crop reliability. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture levels and ranges from 45 to 60 thousand plants per hectare.
