Description Izard
Sunflower Izard is a mid-early oilseed hybrid with a vegetation period of 105-110 days. This hybrid is characterized by stable yield, reaching 40-51 centners per hectare under adequate moisture, making it an excellent choice for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions. Plants are low-growing, 150-160 cm tall, with uniform structure and flower heads up to 23 cm in diameter, facilitating harvesting and crop management.

Izard has high oil content in seeds — 50-51%, ensuring high-quality oil. The hybrid is moderately drought-resistant and shows high resistance to seven strains of downy mildew (A-G), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Additionally, seeds are treated with fungicides and insecticides, providing reliable protection against diseases and pests, including Phomopsis, anthracnose, verticillium wilt, and rust.

Due to its high-quality parent lines and adaptability to various cultivation conditions, Izard is suitable for conventional cultivation methods and is recommended for all climatic regions of Ukraine. Recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on the moisture zone, allowing optimization of yield and product quality. This hybrid combines high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and high oil content, making it a profitable choice for agricultural producers.
