Vincenzo

Vincenzo sunflower is a medium-early hybrid developed by the Italian company ISEA specifically for Alfa Seeds. It features a vegetation period of about 109 days and plant height of approximately 170 cm. The hybrid is characterized by a strong root system and good initial growth rates, ensuring high uniformity and resistance to various climatic conditions, including cold and drought. Vincenzo is suitable for cultivation in various regions such as Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, with recommended seeding density ranging from 55,000 to 80,000 seeds per hectare depending on the zone.

One of the key advantages of this hybrid is its high resistance to diseases and pests. Vincenzo exhibits resistance to wolf cress races from A to G, as well as to diseases such as fomopsis, fomosis, sclerotinia, and downy mildew. Additionally, the plant is resistant to lodging and stress factors, contributing to stable yields. Special attention has been given to resistance to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, enabling effective use of the SUMO protection system with products such as Alpha Star, Grozny Expert, Granstar, and others.

The hybrid exhibits high yield potential, reaching 56–59 centners per hectare, and high oil content in seeds ranging from 51% to 54%. The 1000-seed weight is approximately 65 grams, indicating seed size and quality. Due to its adaptability and plasticity, Vincenzo is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-yielding sunflower crop with high oil content.
